I finally received a letter from the IRS and it states my return had an error. I’m posting this so maybe someone in the same circumstance will be alerted to this problem. It seems TurboTax added the 2nd stimulus payment onto my refund amount. I did not enter it on my taxes because it was received by us already. Somehow it was added to my return and now we have to wait for them to decide to send the correct amount. Clearly we are not due the stimulus again and I would if I could tell the IRS I agree with them BUT there is no way to talk to them. I just have to wait. Again I will not use TurboTax next year as they charged me $40 and computed our taxes incorrectly. They should reimburse the $40 fee but I will not hold my breath for that to happen. Hope this may clear up the holdup of some returns.
