After you file
No, TurboTax provides the IRS with the address and bank account information that is on the tax return that our customers efile to the IRS when they use the software. You are correct that several of our customers are reporting discrepancies in the information provided and what the IRS has on file. This being said, there is a way that you can ensure that your bank account information is current. You can update your bank account directly with the IRS. They use the last known bank account (from your tax return) but you can change it after you file. Here is information about how to tell the IRS about your direct deposit if you wish to change it.
