Did you or any of your clients claim the Recovery Rebate Credit? I tried my Local Tax Advocate and National Tax advocate. Both sent me to automated messages that instructed me to "Leave your contact information and we will call you".
Whilst looking at the IRS Fiscal Year 2020 Annual Assessment report, I discovered that the IRS collected 3.6 Trillion dollars in Federal Tax payments and paid out 456 Billion in refunds for fiscal year 2019. The IRS also spent 85 million on an ECM solution(Case management software) before realizing the solution was inadequate. This explains why their various customer facing tools are so confusing and generally poor.
Its been 5 weeks since my return was "Accepted" and still in Refund limbo.
