I was also forced to come here due to my AGI no matching prior year and not allowing me to file electronically. My transcript shows a 3-7-21 "request for verification of non-filing", but also shows a 5-26-20 entry for "payment with return" of my amount due and I verified my check had been cashed. Like all of you, I cannot get through to anyone at the IRS for help.
The request for verification for non-filing tells me that my return, which apparently was separated from my check, has now been lost. I'm not sure what the next step is, but absent any help from the IRS, I planned on re-submitting my return via mail (another nightmare) with a cover letter explaining why I was doing so. Any advice?
