That whole shpiel about the bars missing because of some kind of lag or server delay is completely false… id even say it's a deliberate lie… the bars missing means your return is flagged and under review by a human as opposed to the computer.. Nine times out of ten you owe some type of tax debt, student loans, child support.. They will then siphon off what ever you owe recalculate your refund and put the bars back on with a message stating that some of your return had been redirected.. Sometimes they even put in there how much it was reduced..
