You may not have to pay everything back. Nonresidents are allowed to deduct state and local income taxes, charitable contributions, casualty and theft losses and other itemized deductions.
You cannot amend with TurboTax because you will have to file Form 1040-NR. You can prepare an amended return with Sprintax.
