My brother came to the US July 2019 on F-1 student VISA. He too filed his 2019 tax return using Turbotax form 1040 as a resident alien. Now as we know that he is a non-resident alien for tax purpose, can he directly file amendment for 2019 tax return using Sprintax (also correcting that he is NOT claimed as a dependent after I file my 2019 tax return amendment removing him as a dependent)? He did not use sprintax last year. Anything else need to be done in this scenario?
