I wish I knew. In the CA Pending thread, there were enough people complaining that the TT staff looked and discovered, I think, that there was a software issue. They reset the status. Probably fixed the software. Rejected many returns. And Voila!
The problem here, I think, is there is no way to know where the problem lies.
I am hopeful that my being on this thread will flag someone at TT. They will identify and fix the problem. (Perhaps it's some form that isn't quite right on their end. I dunno.) They will reject my return. And I can re-submit.)
But, I've been told to wait as long as 3 weeks by a TT support rep. Why? That makes no sense, when I have experience with TT and the process of going from Pending to Accepted has taken only a few hours in the past.
I don't mean to imply I have any special knowledge about the internal workings of this software company. I have worked in software, though. And I've been following a few threads on this site over the past few days. Mostly, I'm trying to help others, and perhaps myself, by writing these posts.
