What about those who aren't expecting a refund, but who want to check that their return was received? Do you simply enter $1 for the refund amount? Didn't seem to work for me. You'd think the IRS would be smart enough to have a status checking site (never mind calling them) that isn't exclusive to those receiving a refund, even though that's still important.
