After you file

If you have already filed your tax return for 2019 and did not include your Schedule C on it, you will need to amend your return.

To amend your return:

1. Open TurboTax.
2. Scroll down to Your tax return & documents (you may need to select Show), select 2019 and then Amend (change) return.
3. Select Amend using TurboTax Online.
4. Follow the onscreen instructions.
5. After making your corrections, you will need to print your return off and mail into the IRS and your State government agency.

To prepare a Schedule C:

1. Open or continue with your return.
2. In the Search box type schedule c. 
3. Click the Jump to link in.
4. Answer Yes to Did you have any self-employment income or expenses?
5. Follow the onscreen instructions.
