The IRS has a calculator that takes you through all the information and then tells you what to do. You can change your W4 at work as often as you like. You can also use the IRS W4 planner anytime throughout the year.

 

Each quarter, it is a good idea to pull out your paychecks and verify what you expect your income to look like and check your tax bracket with TurboTax Bracket Calculator. Simply divide your federal withholding by the income and compare it to your tax bracket. Make sure you are having enough withheld for the refund you want. If not, change your W4 again.
