To be short and sweet, I filed a tax Amend for my 2019 tax return. It took until like almost September 2020 for it to update on the IRS site when checking the status. The status of it has since stayed saying " Received on April **th 2020 but has yet to be processed yet.
I called the IRS twice now and the latest update as of November 2020 was that the person on the phone could only see that it was being worked on September 2020. Couldn't tell me anything more, no help whatsoever.
It's now 2021 and the status still says the same thing. I haven't received anything in the mail thus far and I feel like if I call the IRS back I wont get anywhere further with it. I don't owe anything, they owe me.
I'm just wondering if anyone else has the same problem and how much longer will it take as its been March 2020 I sent everything out, early April is the status received date (Took until September 2020 to update) and its now January 2021, 10 Months Later....
Any help or clarification would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance.
