Thank you for your quick reply! We have two children who lie with us full time and are not in day care or school. I see on my 2019 return that there are two boxes for dependents: one says “Child tax credit”, and the other says “Credit for other dependents”. The box that is checked on the 2019 return for both children is the “Credit for other dependents” box. I went to amend 2019, to fix it but I can’t because there are 3 options to select for dependents: “this is my child”, “this is a relative or someone I care for“, and “I don’t care for anyone else”. It was already on the 1st option before trying to amend. Also, it shows that we only got $1,000 for dependents.
