After you file
Yeah my plan was a little evil which was to let my ex wife file first. I'll get a refund and don't want to end up with it held for 8 months lol. So, I guess I'll see how this turns out and file an extension if needed. I know they said whoever files first according to the IRS agent I spoke to said they'd hold that return and take whatever amount out. I just didn't know if they were reviewing these forms and there could be elimination of the back due taxes if they would still hold the return or not until it was processed and since there's no time frame on once submitted how long that takes I wanted to ask if anyone was aware how that would work. I'll probably ask the IRS that question when I call Wednesday or Thursday next week to verify they got my fax of the 982 and insolvency worksheet. I do know my debt/liabilities exceeded my assets so I should definitely be insolvent and it should hopefully wipe the amount due back. We shall see the outcome.
