I e-filed my 2019 federal and state tax return in March, 2020. Both are accepted.
I got my state return very soon. However, I haven't got my federal one. Anytime I check the status, it says "We have received your tax return and it is being processed.". It has been 9 months and I haven't received any letter from IRS. (I changed my home address in April. Though I checked the old mailbox frequently, it is likely that the IRS letter was somehow lost.)
I tried to call [phone number removed] to find out the reason of the delay, but that number can never direct me to a real person.
I have double checked my tax return and don't find an obvious error.
1 What shall I do to figure out the problems of my tax return from IRS? Can I have some expert review on my tax return?
2 Shall I amend the tax return?
