You would be correct in conclusion in thinking they should be much faster for e-filers. As well as for helping families to get EIC if this is mostly why they are holding. "Being Processed" I've learned can also mean, loads of work on the taxpayers part. Which wouldn't be fair if everything was done correctly in the first place.
