After you file
Very good question...I efiled 2/16/20, accepted by IRS 2/17/20, and had to fax the 8962/1095-t (i think) in march. I received my love-note from the IRS 3/13/20 letting me know the 8962/1095-T was needed. After spending $240 for "additional [we have your back & check over 100 times to confirm your return is accurate] services" with TT, I still have not received my $4870.00 return. I just received my stimulus check on Thursday. But now when I use the auto system to check the status of my refund, there is no record of it.....at all. My next step is emailing the Governor of Florida and the Florida Treasury Department, requesting contact information for a manager at the IRS. I've called the IRS's toll-free 5 times, 5 different reps, 5 different stories, and the added bonus of having the last rep, Mr. Patterson, tell me he refuses to repeat himself, screamed at me and then hung up on me. I'm done, I've been waiting since February - 6 months - for my return, I've lost my home due to COVID and was counting on that return to keep my payments current. This is, by far, the worst customer service I've ever had to interact with. My job is a customer service manager and I would fire a rep for screaming at a customer. They would not have the opportunity to hang up on one. If anyone knows how to reach a manager at the IRS or a higher position, I would appreciate any contact information you can share. I'm at the end of my rope and desperately need someone from the IRS to step in to assist me.
Thank you and have a great weekend.
