Was your e-filed tax return ever accepted by the IRS? You would have received an email from TurboTax notifying you that your return was accepted. You can check the "status" of your e-filed return by using the instructions below. If your return was never officially accepted by the IRS, you need to go ahead and file it ASAP. A rejected return is the same as if it was never filed at all.
