Direct deposit is for a refund, not for tax that you owe. You might have selected direct debit to have the tax that you owe taken out of your bank account. If so, you would look at your bank account to see that a withdrawal was made. You cannot see it in TurboTax. TurboTax does not know if your tax payment was made.
