So, box 16 and 18 were filled in but TurboTax left the previous columns blank. I tried doing the ammendment again from scratch just to see if they would populate this time, and nothing. Clearly they're being left blank for a reason, or it's just a really bad glitch. All my other info is in there and part 2 and 3 are all filled out accordingly
But again, there is zero change in any refund or amount owed from my initial return, so would this be why? I would still think the original amounts would need to be in there still even if the new amount is exartly the same. Is ther ever an instance where the columns on the front of the 1040-X would be left blank?
