After you file
1) IRS stopped opening paper returns in late March.
2) IRS recently started processing paper returns in the order received.
3) I don't know what will happen when your SSN is wrong.
4) You don't amend when your SSN is wrong. And you can't e-file an amended return.
A wrong digit in your SSN is not a math error.
Is that the only thing you changed ?
In any case, I'd suggest you just mail in the correct return - 1040, not 1040-X - with the correct SSN again.
