It depends.

 

If someone claimed you as a dependent on their tax return, they would have used your Social Security number.  The IRS uses the Social Security number to keep track of taxpayers and therefore probably has you listed as being a dependent and therefore, not eligible for a stimulus payment.

If you are entitled to a stimulus payment but do not receive it in 2020 because someone else erroneously claimed you on their tax return as a dependent, you will be given the opportunity in 2021 when completing your 2020 tax return to report the amount of the stimulus payment you did actually received.  If it is less than what you are entitled to, you will receive a credit on your 2020 tax return.
