After you file

@ grahamcracker27

I changed my last comment above, which unfortunately were the directions for checking on an efiled return with the IRS and Taxpayer Advocate Service, which I posted by mistake.     If your Online TurboTax account says "ready to mail", then that will not apply to you.   So if you were emailed that answer about the IRS and Taxpayer Advocate Service, please disregard.   Sorry for the confusion.  Right after I sent that, I remembered that you had said "ready to mail" earlier.

If your online account shows a status of "ready to mail", that means the return has NOT been efiled.

As I mentioned previously, log into your Online TurboTax account.   At the Tax Home if your Online Account is showing a status of "ready to mail", that means that TurboTax thinks you were going to originally file by mail.   If it says "ready to mail" and you did NOT file by mail (did not print and mail),  then your return has not been filed.

If you had efiled, then the Tax Home would show a status of either "accepted" or "rejected"--not "ready to mail."  It's possible you may not have gone to the final screen and actually submitted the efile.

So at the Tax Home if your return status shows "ready to mail" and has not been filed at all, and if you wish to now efile it, we can tell you how to open the return back up and efile it.
