After you file
If your tax return was filed electronically and the return was accepted, then the social security administration also still has your wife's maiden name on file in their records. There must be an exact match of the name and social security number for an electronically filed tax return to go through.
This may be why it was set up that way in TurboTax.
You are not likely to encounter problems using the card. In most instances married women in the U.S are okay to use either of their names in most situations.
I would suggest withdrawing the cash from the card and depositing it into the account that you normally use to avoid potential issues.
