If you do call the IRS phone number right now, it will ONLY direct you to their website, which is static info, with NO current interactive service PERIOD. IRS has currently SUSPENDED all individual taxpayer service at the national, state, and local levels due to the Coronavirus and Stimulus Checks. Essentially, IRS is CLOSED. It has our money, we’re at their mercy, and there’s nothing we can do about it. And this seems to be totally under the radar—I have yet to see news media mentioning it.
