Accidentally filled using my wife's maiden name.
I've got a few small questions. I just received a stimulus bank card in the mail, but it was addressed to me using my wife's maiden name. I decided I better check on the tax forms I submitted and make sure they were correct. It turns out, my name was correct, but I accidentally used her maiden name associated with her first name. We are married (7 years) and filling jointly, she has taken my last name, and I assume it is what appears on her current social security card. Do I need to amend my taxes to correct her name? Her social security number is correct.
Also, am I going to have trouble using this visa debit card from the government since it has the incorrect name on it?
Thanks for your help in advance!
