Don’t bother trying the local Taxpayer Advocate Service because they won’t take your call. I tried and got a message about the IRS being closed due to COVID and that they are experiencing higher than normal calls because of it. The recording goes on to say that its causing delays in responding to Taxpayer inquiries and then say bye and hangs up. This is so frustrating as I too am in the same boat. I submitted my return and the beginning of Feb. I got a letter saying its under review and it could take up to 60 days which has long since passed. I have been doing my taxes for 30 + years and never had an issue. I also used TurboTax and had the returned checked for errors and none were found so I would really like to know what the hold up is because I desperately need my money.
