and quite frankly...the example given is not a good example if they just talked about it being on a "parent's" return... everyone doesn't know that dependent is not inextricably linked to parent always... so to use an example like that is confusing.  You know it.  I can tell in your response to me, that you know it's a bad example.  But i digress.....    i get it.. I don't agree with it...but it's the rules and i agreed to play by the rules.
