This stinks but I'm glad I'm not alone in these frustrations. I mailed my paper return 11 weeks ago from Brazil. My New York State return was accepted and paid weeks ago. I didn't have an option to file electronically because I had to file a MFS paper return (I'm married to a Non-Resident Alien who doesn't have to pay taxes)
I am living abroad and cannot call the IRS, but the "where's my status" tool tells me that they cannot find any information and to check my information again. Has anyone gotten through? I'm really needing this refund as soon as possible.
