I know a lot of you guys are trying to make sense of all this by comparing specific situations and maybe it’s this or maybe it’s that. Whatever you’re thinking in regards to why you haven’t received your DD yet has nothing to do with anything more then us updating our DD info ON or a day or 2 after the portal went live. The bottom line is this: you’re either eligible or you’re NOT. You either updated your DD info or you didn’t but the keyword is ELIGIBLE and apparently we are all ELIGIBLE. Our DD/payment date is stuck at the starting gate and hasn’t advanced past since then AT ALL. Whether you thinks it has something to do with your AGI, or they you filed 2018 but not 2019, or maybe you filed 2019 but not 2015., etc. None of these situations, I highly doubt, have anything to do with why we haven’t been paid our share as of yet. My situation for anyone that cares is I filed and received a refund in 2018 but I have yet to file my 2019 as of yet. I updated my DD in the AM on April 15 on the portal as instructed. Now does my specific situation have anything to do with the delay? Other then me updating my DD, the the portal states I’m eligible-when they have a date they’ll update the portal and deposit it into my bank account that I added on April 15. End of STORY. ELIGIBLE? check - correct bank account info for DD? Check. The IRS has EVERYTHING they need to get us our money. It’s disgusting and pathetic what’s being done to all of us. It’s amazes me that the portals
web developer and the treasurer whose keeping tabs on the all the money being sent out has yet to discover why a decent amount of us have been in limbo since April 15th. Maybe we should all fake our own deaths and then BAM watch all our DDs go through instantly. Just hope I’m not gonna read someone posting at the end of July on how they hope it’s “next Saturday”. SMH
