Amended return rejected by IRS due to missing forms?
In January I amended my previous year's tax return (2018) because I did not include my 1098-T since it was received after I had already filed. I amended through TurboTax, followed the directions printed, sent in the 1040x which explained in the comment section that the only change was to now include the 1098-T, I provided a copy of that form & mailed it out. It was received Feb. 14,2020 and returned to me March 13, 2020 for failing to include "forms 8863/8812 to support line 15". The IRS live assistance has been closed since I received the notice and I am unsure what I am supposed to be providing, being that I sent everything that TurboTax had me print and followed the instructions to a T. Would it be wise to send a complete copy of the amended tax return to IRS even though I was not instructed to by TurboTax or is there something else I am missing?
