Hello, I see you know quite a bit about this and I need some help.
I was 22 years old and was a full time student (not living at home) throughout 2019. I also made almost 8k last year and my mother (who claimed me as a dependent did not pay ANY bills for my school or housing). I put that someone could claim me as a dependent thinking that my father would but he did not. I know that I do not qualify as a dependent
I went to file an amendment and have started the process but at the end Turbo Tax keeps saying I need to upgrade to deluxe because I have a tuition and fees/deduction and "Turbo Tax free does not cover this." This has never popped up for me and I don't know what it's referring to and what I need to do to finish filing my amendment. Please help. I want my stimulus check and will report her if need be because I cannot qualify as a dependent.
