Follow the instructions below if you need to change this question before filing -
- Log into your account. Click Take Me to My Return
- Click your My Info Tab
- This should bring you to a My Info Summary Page. Click the Edit button next to where your name, SSN, DOB all show
- This should bring you to the main Your Personal Info entry screen
- Scroll down to #3 (see screenshot below). You will need to make sure that both of those questions are changed to NO if you are NOT being claimed as a dependent on another return.
- After you make that change, you can finish your filing
