I agree with everyone else. I’ve been waiting a few days now while others have received their stimulus deposits and I am awaiting mine and my fiancé’s both who have used turbo tax debit cards the past few years for our tax returns. To read they don’t have an answer makes me think the short answer is no, the irs will not be issuing the money to these cards. Maybe it’s because of the fees that turbo tax typically takes out and the way the accounts are handled, but it sounds like if all these people who used this refund option are still waiting for their stimulus refund while people who did other forms of direct deposit already have it we can definitely assume something is up. I’ve also heard HR Block people have received their stimulus payments to their emerald cards already just fine, but not one person I know who used turbo tax debit cards has received theirs. I know the IRS is supposed to have a website for us all available in 2-3 weeks that we can input routing info to have the money sent out sooner than waiting for the paper check option, I’m guessing turbo tax will advise we all go to the site and input the info for our accounts, but we shouldn’t have to do this. I’ve always choose this option because I felt it was basically the same as having my funds directly deposited anywhere else, but this instance is showings it’s not. If it comes to that I have to submit info as to wear I want the irs to send my stimulus deposit because turbo taxes direct deposit info wasn’t good enough for them to deposit directly then I definitely will not be using turbo tax again. Just can’t risk this happening in the future. We’ve been out of work and have a kid to feed and on top of everything just totaled our car, we really needed these stimulus checks to go through this week like everyone else I knows has been!
