After you file
Thank you! I've been saying this all along....I've done my taxes through TurboTax for years and the first year I did them, I didn't have a bank account so I used their card option and just kept doing it ever since. Plus it helps me save it more having it separate. But I agree, we can get our paychecks deposited, social security, disability, our income taxes, almost all of these come from the IRS anyway so why are we not getting a straight answer about the stimulus check?! It's very disheartening as a loyal customer to be told that they don't know. Or worse, I called and the woman on the phone told me she DID have the IRS info and that something about santa Barbara (and green dot?) And we wouldn't be eligible for direct deposit! She then asked if the account number I had from my TurboTax card had anything to do with my social security number? And it didn't, at all. So then she said, well maybe it will go to that account then, I DONT KNOW..... again. After a huge run around of answers. We have an account number and routing number. Will the IRS really go through and check into each routing number to see where the account belongs to? This is very unprofessional and I agree that TurboTax is using this opportunity to get new customers when all of their regular customers are left here hanging wondering if it will be days MONTHS before we receive money. And also wondering how to change with the IRS in time to another account, if we have that option. Its very frustrating TurboTax, as you can see, by the many of us who desperately need answers. @ETeasley I'm so sorry for hijacking your post lol. I started just to tell you I agreed with you and then I went off...hope you don't mind 🤦☺️
