did you already transmit your return (efile)? If so you need to wait until it is accepted or rejected. Once transmitted you cannot stop it.
Amending is not that hard. See this FAQ for how to do it. But you must wait until the IRS accepts your return. If they reject it for some reason (wrong prior yr AGI for example), you can make the changes you need and not amend. <a rel="nofollow" target="_blank" href="
