Stimulus Check - Direct Deposit - 2019 vs. 2018
I filed my 2019 taxes already. Because I was not due to receive a refund, I did not provide Direct Deposit info on this return.
Now, when I filed my 2018 taxes, I used Turbo Tax online and was given a refund. I gave my Direct Deposit info to Turbo Tax using the online filing system this way. The refund went to Turbo Tax first to pay for my software/filing fees, then I received a deposit for my federal and state refunds.
Now, would the IRS have my Direct Deposit info on file for the stimulus or not? My bank information has not changed since filing my 2018 taxes. The reason I ask is because I do not know if the giving the Direct Deposit info to Turbo Tax results in this info being passed to the IRS.
