After you file

when i stated 'they don't have anything to do with it', I was referring to Turbo Tax.

The IRS is responsible for obtaining the direct deposits information in this case and THEY are the ones that have stated they are providing a website for those updates and see the section about "irs doesn't have my DD information" (I appreciate the TT website is only for those that have not filed at all).

how do you know TT is being lazy?  maybe the IRS hasn't approved them to do it? The IRS owns this - not TT.

to set expectations, here is the plan for the checks that Treasury Secretary Mnuchin announced last week.  They will be issued in order of your income.

The week of April 24th - expectation is that checks will be mailed for those gross income on their tax return was under $10,000

the week of May 1, they will move to those making under $20,000

etc.

The IRS does not have my direct deposit information. What can I do?

In the coming weeks, Treasury plans to develop a web-based portal for individuals to provide their banking information to the IRS online, so that individuals can receive payments immediately as opposed to checks in the mail.
