After you file
The IRS has yet to release the final 2019 Form 8915-B and Instructions. The "T" is the way TurboTax designates the "Taxpayer" form from the "Spouse" form.
Note that the IRS made revisions to the 2018 Form 8915-B in December 2019 for tax law changes, and is recommending those taxpayers who used Form 8915-B in 2018 wait until after 4/15/2020 to file a 2018 amended tax return.
You can delete your 8915-B form in TurboTax Online using the "Delete a form" function. If it automatically "re-populates" you will need to change the answers for the 1099-R distribution or repayment that qualifies as "Disaster Retirement Plan Distributions and Repayments". If you are able to wait, however, I recommend that you wait until the IRS approves the 2019 Form 8915-B for use.
This link has the following instructions for deleting a form in TurboTax Online:
- Open or continue your return in TurboTax.
- In the left menu, select Tax Tools and then Tools.
- In the pop-up window Tool Center, choose Delete a form.
- Select Delete next to the form/schedule/worksheet in the list and follow the instructions.
