After you file

Same situation with me. Totally frustrating. I checked my Bof A app and it shows 2 routing numbers. I also went to the link on the forum that asks what state the account was opened in and then I had to choose between North, South or Chicago Metro area. I saw the 2 routing numbers. The confusing part is that Bof A states that the other routing number (not the one that appears on my checks) is for "wire transfers." Well, I'm pretty sure the IRS does not pay thru a wire transfer (I tried verifying this online to no avail). The number that appears on my check said this routing number is for direct deposit, electronic transfers. So, I figured the one on the check was correct. I entered it into turbo tax deluxe and it accepted it until I got to one of the last pages where you review everything, and it wouldn't let me continue when I clicked the continue button. In red letters, it said be sure you have the correct routing number. I called the 800 number for the bank and agent was no real help. All he could do was repeat to me the two different numbers but he didn't know which one I should use. I then called my local branch and she had the answer right away. She said use the other routing number and not the one on my checks. she was 100% sure of herself. so, I entered the other number and it went right thru. What a fiasco.
