So NC reviewed your return and changed something in it?
NC says it can take up to 6 weeks normally for an efiled return; up to 10 weeks for a paper mailed return. I don't know if changing something in it affects the average time or not.
Only the NC DOR can tell you anything about your refund. You can phone them to see what the delay is.
Their hours are 7AM-5PM Eastern, Mon-Fri
You can see the phone number in this FAQ. It has 24-hour information, but you can only reach a live person in the hours I mentioned above.
