I been dealing with the same issue. Random 60 day review. BUT, I FINALLY SEE THE LIGHT AT THE END OF THIS DARK AND NERVE WRECKING TUNNEL...
So, I checked my tax transcripts again right now on the irs site, and my account shows:
Examination closed for review 3/12
Refund freeze removed 4/6
Notification sent 4/6
(I found they pre-date their steps)
Last time I checked my transcripts it wasn’t saying this... So I’m assuming they’re sending my deposit 4/6... finally.... However I imagine that most random reviews will be cleared up on or before the annual tax deadline of April 15th... Unless your taxes consist of unique circumstances, which you would be made aware of by them. PS. Review and audit are not the same thing, in reference to a question by someone on this feed.
