After you file
Yes, we filed joint returns for tax year 2018 and 2019. When trying to e-file this year, I used the correct 2018 AGI for both me and my spouse from 2018 (same amount for each of us b/c joint return in 2018) as one of the required ID requests. And the e-filing was rejected by the IRS b/c of my spouse's 2018 AGI. Absolutely crazy ridiculous.
Why would using zero work? Can you help me out on the logic here (just b/c that's obviously incorrect for both of us). Thanks.
