You’ll need to not only look at your taxable compensation for the year, but also whether you’re covered by a retirement plan at work and your filing status.

To change your filing status in TurboTax Online:
1. Go to Personal Info at the top of the page
2. Select Edit next to marital status
3. Select Single
4. Continue
