Actually, that's not true! Today is 3/6/2020. I was married on 11/10/2018, changed my name with SS on 11/30/18, recieved my new SS card with my new married name, Filed taxes in March 2019, provided all information regarding my name change, and to this day I still have not received my 2018 federal income tax refund! I have talked with the IRS on many occasions and no seems to be able to tell me what's going on! They think its due to discrepancies with my maiden and married name but no one will offer help to fix this frustrating situation! Currently on hold with SS administration now....for the 2nd time today.
