After you file
OK, so it's the tedious process I feared. Also it's not just the 1098 forms itself (since those aren't even included in the printout), but the forms that that data impacts. I will have to carefully look at several values per form to see if they match vs. being changed by the presence of the new data.
I just went with printing and mailing everything.
