Follow the steps below:
- Sign into your account.
- Click on the My TurboTax menu
- Select
Visit My Tax Timeline .
- Under SOME THINGS
YOU CAN DO click
on Add a state.
(You are not adding a state to your return. This allows you to get
back into your return).
The estimates state taxes paid are enter in the Federal Taxes section. They will flow
through to your state return. So you will be changing the federal and state tax return.
- In TurboTax, open your tax
return and click on Federal Taxes, then Deductions & Credits
- Under All Tax
breaks, locate
the section named Estimates and Other Taxes Paid and click Show more
- Click on Start next to Estimates
- On the next page, click Start next to State
estimated taxes for 2016.
