I truly understand what you're going through. I didn't file with TurboTax this year. I used Tax Slayer filed 1/28 after being rejected refiled and was accepted 1/29 after about 3 weeks of still being in the process stage finally received the 5071C letter tried to call could not get through tried to verify online no progress. I just finally did my verification process on 3/13 Representative informed me verification process went through and my taxes were being put back in process stage could take up to 9 weeks now stress level back up again not understanding. I was informed due to address change and filing my son for the tax credit not the EIC raised a red flag which is crazy because I have filled him Every year except for last year. I also had a letter verification come for state now mind you my refund is only for 45.00 and they want me to give them AGI's for 2017,2016 and 2015 wtf all that for 45.00. I just went on the IRS mobile app to check for an update and after putting in my information it said incorrect information wtf but then I go to the IRS website put in same information and it says processing. I just would like to get to the approved stage or DDD and not this 9 week crap which would put me at not getting refund until sometime in May.😠😠😡 So I do feel your pain and you're question is not dumb it's a really good question.
