After you file
No, your AGI should not be more than the income you reported. Sometimes it may be less than the income you reported if you were entitled to receive any deductions.
Perhaps you are looking at a form for the previous year. To review your 2019 AGI, please see these steps:
- Click on Tax Tools from the menu on the left-hand side and then click Print Center

Click on Print, save or preview this year's returns.
- Scroll down to your Form 1040 and look at line 8b
To find your 2018 Adjusted Gross Income (AGI):
- Look at line 7 on page 2 of your 2018 Form 1040
- Requesting a transcript of your 2018 tax return from the IRS. You can request your transcript online at the following link: Get Transcript
