Today is 2/14, so the delay for some returns is almost over. All returns take at least 1.5 to 2 weeks- maybe 3.
The delay for EITC/ ACTC returns should no longer be an issue for new filers.
Any return could also be delayed for an unrelated reason, but many refunds for returns filed before 2/5 should be released in the coming week.
